About

Jackie Bowes is a multidisciplinary Chicago-based actor, director, & musician. Born and raised in Washington, D.C. on punk music and politics, Jackie strives to make art that is both socially and emotionally impactful. In May of 2017 she graduated (with honors!) from Boston University, with a BFA in Theatre Arts and a concentration in Musical Theatre. Jackie has also studied at improvOlympic, the Acting Studio Chicago, and the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, Ireland.

Jackie loves making music with her band Sad Girls Club, practicing yoga, and playing highly competitive board games.

News & Upcoming

In the new year, Jackie will be involved in multiple exciting projects! First she will be musically improvising in The Roaring Ones, a devised piece for Prop Thtr’s Rhinofest.

In March, Jackie will make her Assistant Directing debut with Blank Theatre Company’s Blackbird, directed by Elyse Dolan. More info to come!

This year, Jackie completed Janelle Snow’s On Camera 3 class at Acting Studio Chicago and Level 4 at improvOlympic.
